Spring is a great time to consider an upgrade to your home in time for all that Summer entertaining. The obvious one is to declutter your kitchen. Anything you haven't used in the last couple of years could probably go (or at least be moved into the garage!) That way, when you do get around to designing your new kitchen, your mind won't be too fogged up with all the random 'kitchen gadgets' and 'surplus crockery' that you think you need to store, and you can get away with a sleeker design.
Kitchen work surfaces can easily be taken over with extra food and drinks during social times in Summer and over Festive Periods. If you have a garage or outbuilding, it might be worth adding an extra fridge freezer in there to help keep your kitchen clear. A lick of paint can work wonders to lift your existing kitchen.
